I have available a long Jade-Gold necklace.
It was given to me from a friend, it was handed down to him from his parent's estate and belonged to his mother. Both his parents were well known artist's and I know his father had work in the Guggenheim. His mother may have had it designed and made just for her.
Perhaps it dates from in the early to mid 1900's, possibly Art Nouveau or Art Deco in design??? The pendant is carved and the chain and clasps are gold, I believe.
One of the discs was cracked by a jeweler, when I brought it to him to take a look at it. He never provided any information about it?
I have seen estate jade pieces selling for quite a bit, but none are as elaborate as this. Let's just say, that I haven't seen any thing like it anywhere.
Please contact me and I will send an image, asap.
