In 1945, Alex Bryan and Cortlandt Heyniger, boyhood friends and World War II veterans, established the Alcort Company to build iceboats for their native New England lakes. In pursuit of summer business, they installed a sail on what has become know as a boardboat to create the Sailfish, which was featured in a 1948 Life magazine article. In the early 1950's, with a broader beam for greater stability and the addition of a cockpit, the craft became the Sunfish, one of the world's most popular sailboats. With an estimated 250, 000 sold over the last four decades, the Sunfish has introduced several generations to the joy of pure sailing.

These authentically scaled Classail models are crafted to class specifications, with photo-illustrated, step-by-step assembly instructions. High-impact injection-molded polymer parts are ready for painting, and pre-cut dacron sails can be personalized with any sail number. Each kit includes running and standing rigging, a mounting base with identification plaque, wall-mount brackets, and a suitable-for-framing poster with a starboard profile and deck plan. The highest standards of quality and authenticity put Classail models in a class by themselves. Strictly produced and packaged in the USA.
