Description
We require a butterfly valve of plastic construction though the butterfly may be brass, stainless steel or similar. The valve aperture / bore is to be approximately 25mm diameter. Important: The valve does not require good closed sealing characteristic as it is intended for use as a flow damper. We hope this characteristic will facilitate the low operating torque that we require. The valve can allow significant closed position leakage. The closed bore may be up to 10% of the fully-open bore. The valve is to be motor actuated, we will provide this. However, we would also consider buying any available actuator. Note that this aspect is non-essential to this buying request. The valve will carry clean water at gravity fall pressure from a five metres head height. This damper/butterfly valve is required to reduce, but not stop, the water flow Valve/Damper Summary * Butterfly/damper diameter: approx 30mm * Butterfly/damper material: plastic, brass, stainless. Not critical. * Inlet/Outlet interface connections. Not important, we will adapt our 30mm ABS pipe as as required. * Open bore: approx 30mm dia. * Closed bore: less than 10% of open cross-sectional bore. (damper) * Actuation torque: Low, valve need not form watertight seal in closed state. * Operating pressure: 1psi * Construction: Plastic body, butterfly may be stainless / brass as suggested.
