Description
We would like to introduce ourselves as a Small Scale Industry dealing with all types of Life Saving Appliances and Fire Fighting equipments in these Islands for the last 12 years. We have been accredited with ISO 9001 : 2000 for the said job in this regard from M/s URS Certification Ltd , New Delhi who are in turn approved by UKAS & NABCB . We are operating our life raft and fire fighting station under the approval of Director General of Shipping , Mumbai. We have trained persons for servicing of liferafts and Gemini Boats from manufacturers like M/s Swastik Rubber ,
M/s Meridian Inflatable and M/s Intime Fire Appliances and M/s Fire Sheild for fire fighting appliances .

At present we are into rate contract with the Indian Navy for carrying out servicing of life rafts . We are also into rate contract with the Indian Coast Guard for carrying out Fire fighting appliances . Along with the other mentioned jobs we are also registered with The Shipping Corporation of India for carrying out all types of Life Saving and Fire Fighting appliances and also carrying out Fibre Glass / GRP repair and allied jobs apart from catering the needs of the private ship owners , educational and financial institute of these islands . We also carry out similar jobs for the various private vessels also calling at the port .


We are also authorized dealer for M/s Eastern Ship Chandeliers Pvt. Ltd Mumbai for supply of all types of L.S.A. & F.F.A. and Navigational items at Port Blair.
We are also authorized agent for M/s Fibro Plast , Noida for repairs /sales service for the Mercury Out Board Motors for Rigid Inflatable Boats /Gemini Crafts .

We are a member of Chamber of Commerce , Port Blair and are registered with the local port authorities with all types of permits /gate passes. To support us at these fur flung islands we have our mother station situated in the name and style of M/s UME (LIFERAFT) PVT.LTD. at Kolkata t
