From its humble beginning in ***1 as a small backyard operation manufacturing ruled pads and notebooks for students. The company later evolved into manufacturing a wide variety of paper products that are highly visible in the market today.
Advance strongest legacy today is the strength of its brands,
many of which have been part of the Filipino people and
international buyers for three decades. These include variety of
brands of notebooks (Advance, Topline and Springleaf), copier
paper (Advance and Hard Copy), ruled pads (Easywrite), filing
products (Advance, A-plus). Trusted by millions of consumer,
these brands remain the market leader in their specific
category.
In ***1, with meager capital, we began operation with the
purchase of secondhand ruling machine, paper cutters, and
punching machine for the spiral notebooks and book binding
machine used for composition notebooks. It was a modest business
that started in a rented warehouse with just a few employees.
By ***3, the company started advertising its notebook with celebrity endorser, and in a few short years, it has established a niche in the notebook industry. During this time, Advance also bought its first sheeting machine, producing cut-size bond paper.
The first major milestone happened in ***5, to meet the companys capacity requirements, the plant was relocated to a larger facility in Baesa, Caloocan City. With the Sprawling new location, the company started investing in more advanced machines and equipment to meet the increasing demand.
In the late *0s, sales growth began accelerating with the continuing support of its loyal customers. New machines acquired for more product lines such as commercial and document envelopes, die-cutting machines for file folders, slitting machines for fax paper, cash register rolls, several offset printing machines were also added.
Another milestone in ***3 saw the establishment of Advance
Papers, Inc., a printer and manufacturer of computer forms,
thermal point of sales rolls, and custom printed envelopes. The
Company specialized in the printing of bank statements, invoices
and sales memo, airline tickets, statement envelopes, fold and
seal envelopes, ATM rolls, and Point of Sales rolls. Also during
the *0s, to help address the shortage of affordable notebooks for
the Filipino students at that time, Topline Notebook was launched
to cater to the class C and D market. At the turn of the new
millennium, Advance started diversification into non-paper
products to compliment the paper business, thus Topline
Diversified, Inc, was born in ***4.
Over the years, various partnerships, and licensing agreements
have boosted Advance strong market presence and successful brand
building efforts.
By ***8, with a lot of hard work and dedication, the company
received its ISO ***2 certification from TUV nord. This
achievement represents the companys commitment to the on going
process of maintaining a world-class quality system.
