My research was based on the reduction of acaricides on cattle and game to control various parasites, with specific reference to resistance experienced to blue ticks or Rhipicephalus decoloratus and Rhipicephalus microplus, or known as the cattle tick in the US and Australia. The strategic and accurate application of effective acaricides is a critical factor in the analysis and planning to to disrupt essential organs and functions as well as life cycles of various parasites of economic importance, especially where labor and time is a factor. The applicator is placed under ground level, use the weight of the animal as a power source to calculate the dose of "Pour on" acaricide and apply it on the back side of the animal, proportional the weight of the animal. It is been set to apply the acaricide to predefined of preferred positions onto the back side of the animal. In tests it dipped *5 animals per minute as they pass through a gate or a crush. It is though critical that the speed of the animal is slowed down by natural means, i.e. corners of sorts or blue gum poles that naturally slow down individual or group rush movement. In a natural state, if the animal passes on by itself through the crush or gate, i.e. on its way to mineral licks or water, there is no need to do so. Above mentioned is though in the case of game necessary The applicator is a sealed unit, can be hidden completely except the dispensing arm of the unit, which is normally leveled between two gum poles above the crush to control the height and protect the dispensed fluids from wind. It is been accredited and tested by the University of Pretoria as been *5%***5% accurate in its application.
