Amyris, the well recognized name in renewable energy, have made an agreement with one of the Brazilian airline “GOL” to initiate aviation’s first ever commercial flight via Renewable farnesane fuel, an official authenticated jet fuel.
In spite of biofuel involvement in mitigating emissions from commercial aviation industry, this exceptional invention will also assist in boosting the efficacy of aircrafts and all flight operations. The renewable biofuel cannot be used discretely, as it is directly mixed with petroleum jet fuel without having to prevent engine or fuel system. Amyris is looking forward to analyze the reduction of possible GHG emissions and environment on account of each flight employing renewable jet fuel.
