Biofuel has been successful in fascinating number of industries to welcome the renewable energy into their operations.

Similarly, last summer proved to be a phase of important achievements for the industry and one of the most appealing evolutions was the first ever commercial airline which discovered the replacement of jet fuel from renewable farnesane.

The aviation industry all across the globe have been gathered on one page for attaining certain milestones such as diminishing GHG emissions along with striking neutral growth of carbon by 2020. In addition, the total anti-environment emissions will lead to 50 percent decline till 2050, relatively to the level of 2005. The renewable energy oriented company “Amyris” and the leading French name in energy sector “Total” have collided with the aim to produce and supply renewable energy to the aviation industry that helps them to knock pre-specified potential goals.

Amyris, the well recognized name in renewable energy, have made an agreement with one of the Brazilian airline “GOL” to initiate aviation’s first ever commercial flight via Renewable farnesane fuel, an official authenticated jet fuel.

In spite of biofuel involvement in mitigating emissions from commercial aviation industry, this exceptional invention will also assist in boosting the efficacy of aircrafts and all flight operations. The renewable biofuel cannot be used discretely, as it is directly mixed with petroleum jet fuel without having to prevent engine or fuel system. Amyris is looking forward to analyze the reduction of possible GHG emissions and environment on account of each flight employing renewable jet fuel.
