Various yet regular cyber attacks have led the Hollywood studios to take urgent measures for securing their sensitive information from seeping out.

In this regard, the studios have started employing anti-hacking professionals and informed their associates to ensure their data safety from being compromised.

This time around, it has been done with Sony Picture Entertainment via transmittable malwares which continues undermining them.

The cyber attack on SPE took place last week that has demolished all their computer systems and phone systems alongside the access of ongoing streams of sensitive data, such as management salaries and private information of the associates.

There are a number of film studios including The Weinstein Company starting to change their business trends by hiring real experts that help them in safeguarding their precious data from groups of hackers so called “Guardians of Peace”, who have accepted the recent assault on SPE.

"Everybody has" hired external security firms, senior director of Weinstein shared his views with private news agency.

In the wake of a recent assault, Sony has hired a cyber security firm FireEye Inc. and its Mandiant Forensics Units to figure out the facts on this cyber breach. The firm is critically revising the whole study for a valid answer, said Sony Picture entertainment.

The industry rivals didn’t come up to give any insights regarding the cyber breach that can help the investigation company to analyze the exact situation happened with their computer and phone system resulting in the release of private content.

The speculation has been raised that the roots of Sony’s assault is linked with North Korea as a reaction of an upcoming film The interview, directed by Seth Rogen-James Franco, in which the North Korean authorities have been explicitly criticized.

The investigation agencies are assessing the possibilities of linkage between cyber attack and the film. On the other hand, the hackers have unleashed the film star’s payment publically. It has been verified that the film was not one of those found in pirated website; however, it is still blurred if there were any connections between those pirated films and the attackers.

These modern-day cyber attacks have raised new security concerns for film studios such as SPE still striving to overcome cyber breaches, thus sophisticated adaptations are to be taken into consideration for avoiding any further potential cyber attack as this Sony incident has persuaded the entire industry to change its infrastructure!
