Diwali is a most energetic and a reason of delight festival for the Hindu community where all the family, relatives and friends come together and enjoy the lighten festival with exchanging of gifts and happiness. This festival is also a source of happiness for the employees to get bonues and gifts from their employers. Savjibhai Dholakia, a chairperson of Hari Krishna Exports Private Ltd is a reputable name in exporting quality diamond worldwide. In recent diwali, the company has made a record for giving diwali gifts that includes cars, apartments and jewelry to its thousands of working groups.

In a private interview with one news agency, Dholkia said, “I gave Diwali gifts to 1200 employees to appreciate their loyalty; whatever my company is today it’s because of my employees."

After years of slow growth, the employee loyalty program was designed 2 years back to distribute rewards to those employees who accomplished the defined targets and to enhance the morale level and employee retention of the company. At very first year of loyalty program, 3 employees won the cars as gift on behalf of their performance. The recent past Christmas, around 72 workers managed to get a hold on Chevrolet Beats. While, this year proved to be a life changing experience for 1200 employees out of 6000, from higher officials to polishing staff- collected gifts such as house/apartments (207), jewelry (570) and cars (491) employees. This year, Fiat Punto Evo car has been given to the employee, even a majority of them are unaware of driving.

Hari Krishna Exports Private Ltd is a well reputed exporter of finished diamond in more than 50 states all across the globe and reported a net income of $9.8 billion (600 billion rupees) in 2014. The owner distrusted the diwali gifts worth $8.2 million (500 million rupees), where each employee was being allocated by $6500 (400,000 rupees).

Take a quick glance over his background, Dholkia earlier called as “Kaka” or “Uncle” from his employees who have passed the elementary school and joined the Surat Company as a fresh worker employee in performing diamond finishing task. He said, “Had I been highly educated, I may not have given away so much.”
