Product Description

dinoSoil is a unique organic mineral deposit located only in Texas, USA. dinoSoil has been used as a highly effective organic fertilizer and soil conditioner for several decades, and is a critical component in replenishing mineral depleted soils. The mineral deposit is classified as Leonardite, which is an oxidized form of lignite.

All Leonardites contain Humic acid; however: dinoSoil also contains Fulvic acid, Ulvic acid, and a unique blend and strong concentration of minerals, as well as Montmorillonite clay. dinoSoil was listed as an Organic fertilizer by the Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRS) in ***3. Humic and Fulvic acids are active components of Humates, which are high molecular weight, natural organic salts originating from the diagenesis of terrestrial, marine, and lacustrine organic matter.

Humic and Fulvic acids have a manifold effect on plants, which in the early stage of plant growth results in the living activity of the plant; enzyme systems are intensified, ceil division is increased, root systems show greater development, and ultimately the yield of dry matter increases. Humic acids, even in small amounts, act as specific sensitizing agents, increasing the permeability of the plasma membrane and resulting in an increased uptake of nutrients by the root system. Decayed plant and animal matter is converted into humus by the action of microbes such as bacteria, actinomycetes, fungi, and molds Humics have the ability for absorbing hydrophobic compounds as well as making the soil more friable, increasing water retention and providing life-promoting nutrients.

Among the important aspects of humus in the soil, the most significant is the interaction with the clay constituents, which gave rise to Clay-Humus. Increasing the amount of soil organic matter in this combination is of great importance. The addition of Montmorillonite to sandy soil may be as important as the addition of the organic matter. A certain quantity of barnyard manure, compost, or green manure can be converted into this type of complex only when it is composted with a certain amount of clay before it is incorporated into the soil.

dinoSoil might generally be identified as rare Upper Cretaceous calcareous shale having been formed within lush, semi-tropical forests and swamps, composted for millennia, buried hundreds of feet deep by silt, and then pushed to the surface during the ice ages. The repeated upheavals subjected the deposits to several ocean baths creating Sodium based Montmorillonite clay while rinsing out any toxic materials. The climatic change to a high plains desert preserved the highly concentrated minerals due to limited rainfall.

Montmorillonite clay contains a balance of minerals required by living organisms in their natural colloidal form, making them easily assimilated, and enhances the production of enzymes in all living organisms. Sodium based Montmorillonite clay has the capacity to adsorb water up to *5 times its dry weight, an extremely valuable characteristic in sequestering P*4, As, and other chemicals regarded as pollutants. Clays are formed from the chemical and physical weathering of feldspars into layers of various elements and compounds with the layers aligned by electrical charge and weight.

Montmorillonite clay has a three-layer crystal structure containing Ai, Si, Mg, and Na. The chemical charges are arranged to strongly attract and hold large concentrations of ions, effectively removing them from other chemical reactions and allowing detoxification. The Florida Institute of Phosphate Research has replicated tests in which dinoSoil effectively removed P*4, P2Os, Arsenic, and Cadmium from water. The importance of this scientific finding is that metal polluted waters could be used for drinking and irrigation within certain parameters. Analytical Services Corporation (NELAP Laboratory Certification HRS #E****4), had shown that dinoSoil will remove Arsenic in water from *5.5 ppm to less than 0.*5 ppm.

This ability of dinoSoil to remediate water quality is significant and should not be minimized or overlooked. Phosphates and Sulfates are similarly bound with dinoSoil, restricting their rate of leaching and reducing the amount of potential groundwater pollution and eutrophication of lakes and streams.

dinoSoil has all the basic natural additives to rebuild mineral depleted soils. When tilled into the root zone, microbes become more active, beneficial enzymes are produced, and the entire rhizosphere is enhanced, increasing nutrient uptake and resultant hardy plant life. The single most valuable effect of dinoSoil is the increase in root mass of the plant. Many soils lack nutrients and contain too little organic matter, which inhibits the ability of the plant to retain moisture. Improving soil quality is actually a way of providing more water to the root system. dinoSoil contains nearly half its mineral weight within the sodium Montmorillonite clay. As the dinoSoil holds water for longer period of time, the root system is more capable of transporting minerals and fertilizer through the stalk/stem to the leaf system for a more efficient photosynthesis process, which in turn yields a greater plant mass. The net result is an increased crop yield of a higher nutritional value.

Plant growth materials that are required for efficient, nutrient grade production, such as Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Sulfur, Iron, and others are found in dinoSoil as water-soluble oxides. A complete Independent analysis of dinoSoil has been done by A & L Plains Agricultural Laboratories to substantiate the mineral content and is available by request. These naturally occurring minerals greatly affect the overall fertility of the soil and increase the crop yield. Today’s agriculture industry is being called upon to develop a more enhanced sustainable soil environment; dinoSoil is an economical vehicle to this goal. Horticulture greatly benefits from dinoSoil with healthier plants producing brighter colored flowers that stay fresh longer with more flowers per stem.

dinoSoil is currently being blended with dairy and horse feed to ensure the animals receive needed nutrients. Free range poultry are improved with a more balanced diet and less stress along with increased bone and muscle mass by broadcasting dinoSoil onto their range and mixing with their feeds. Catfish farmers would also find similar increases in their aquaculture, while the water is improved by having P*4 sequestered. Barnyard and green manures mixed with dinoSoil, by digestion or mechanically, create highly useful natural fertilizers that produce a superior sustainable soil. Manure management can take on a new dimension by blending with dinoSoil to obtain a soil sustaining organic fertilizer that qualifies for “USDA Organic” labeling. A bonus is the ability of dinoSoil to significantly reduce barnyard manure odors while accelerating the growth period of composting or lagoon waste treatment.

The application rate as a soil mineralizer is dependent upon the soil type and the degree of mineral depletion. The recommended rate is **0—***0 pounds per acre for two years, then skip an application for the third year. Some soils may require a higher rate. Animal feeds can be supplemented with dinoSoil at 5% by weight. Another application method is to dissolve dinoSoil and use it as a foliar spray or as a mineralized water source for livestock or poultry. This latter method for watering guarantees the animal is efficiently receiving the world’s best organic mineralizer.
