AIR INTAKE SILENCER

Noise is unwanted sound. Sound is the sensation caused by minor fluctuations in the Ambient Atmospheric Pressure which the Ear can detect.

Engine, Compressor, Gas Turbine, Ventilation Air Intake & Exhaust Process Noise pollution control can be achieved by using Silencers in the upstream and downstream air passage duct lines.

PRODUCT INFORMATION: Silencers work by Absorbing sound energy in the form of air particle velocity, causes the fibers in the absorbing media to oscillate in sympathy. This results in fibers rubbing together and the friction causes the kinetic energy conversion into heat.

CONSTRUCTION:Silencer is an acoustically effective cylinder using an absorptive annular flow design to provide high attenuation with minimum associated pressure loss. All steel heat resistant aluminum painted, quality fabrication welded construction. 

Inlet chamber double wall shells for integral dampening and added Acoustically Lined Plenum – Internals with GI & infill rock wool insures high transmission loss wall construction to prevent noise leakage.

Floating Tube Module – the major silencing element in the assembly, this parallel perforated flow tube, packed with highly absorbent packing, dissipates the noise.

Condensate drain - provided at the lowest point of silencer.
