The position of the holes force the airflow to change directions along three axis. Based on the inertia separation principle, the accordian shape concentrates a large number of holes per square foot thus maintaining a low static pressure. Further, the airflow is evenly distributed over the whole extraction surface of the booth while remaining constant during the loading phase of the filters.
