Many years ago I was on vacation with friends on the west coast of Sardinia.

During a journey to discover new beaches we arrived in a beautiful bay surrounded by a white sand beach.

Despite its beauty, the place was almost deserted and I understood why when I entered the water.

A few meters from the sandy beach there was a platform of volcanic rocks and corals just below the surface that had to be crossed before we could swim.

I could not get in with the slippers because I would have to swim with the slippers in my hand.

I tried with fins but it was difficult to walk and they made me lose my balance.

I tried with a friend's water shoes, but I quickly realized that swimming was frustrating: I was dragging the water and I had no push from the foot kicking

After that experience, I started thinking about solutions to improve the performance of beach shoes

After many years of design, models, tests, prototypes, errors and restarts, when the tests were completely positive, the concept of Aqualanders water shoes was born: a hydrodynamic shoe that can protect your feet while walking and helps in your swimming.

A huge difference compared to other water shoes, less forward resistance and greater thrust, but also a positive feeling compared to bare feet.
