Kaolin is essentially a white, clay mineral used quite often in the creation of porcelain and certain types of ceramics. Egyptian Kaolin especially, is considered in its raw form to be quite hard and massive. Known also as China clay and Chamotte, this particular product is abundantly found in Egypts Sinai ad Aswan regions, which is where we predominantly export from



Using extremely high temperatures to alter the properties of minerals, the calcination of kaolin generally increases the whiteness, hardness and alters the electrical properties of the material. The process also leave the Kaolin anhydrous (without water.) Meticulous and thorough when it comes to how we get our Egyptian Kaolin calcinated, AIMR aims to provide some of a refractory of the highest quality.
