The homeland of black pepper - the coast Malabar located in the southwest of India. Now black pepper is grown up in all tropical areas.
Black pepper is received from unripe fruits of a plant. In order that to clear them and to prepare for drying, fruits quickly scald in hot water. Fruits then dry on the sun or by means of cars within several days. The fruits which are dried up thus are called peas of black pepper. Black pepper is used both by integral peas, and ground — as separate seasoning, and in the most various mixes.
Application - the widest: pepper is used to meat dishes, both to soups, and to vegetables, and to salads. In many countries it is accepted to put on a table a pepperbox with black pepper as indispensable attribute of any meal.
