The brass meshes are plain square weave (over one, under one). Brass is superior to copper wire mesh in abrasion resistance and tensile strength.Brass can be soldered with lead or silver solder. Brass may discolor due to atmospheric conditions and is not suitable for salt water use (monel is the best for salt water and stainless steel type **6 is second best). Electrical conductivity is considerably lower than that for copper wire.

Brass Wire Mesh - Cutting

Brass meshes are easily cut with hand tools. The heavy meshes from 2 mesh through *0 mesh is best cut with tin snips. To cut *6 mesh and finer, you can use a common scissor.
Special specifications can be produced by the customer's requirements.
