‘Silk Road Cinnamon’ represents the third generation of Real Ceylon cinnamon production in Sri Lanka. Our first generation started its operations with ½ acre of cinnamon in ***5, and since then cinnamon has always been a huge part of our life. Cinnamon in Sri Lankan language ‘Kurundu’ is a very well respected business; requires patience, highly skilled manpower, and love of the industry.

Today’s Real Ceylon Cinnamon is a combination of the traditional cinnamon plantation and modern hygienic production.    

What is Real Ceylon Cinnamon?

Real Ceylon Cinnamon is very distinctive and can only be found in Sri Lanka. Our plantation is situated in the Southern Province, which is ideal for the best cinnamon cultivation because of the tropical rainforest climate. Our Real Ceylon Cinnamon stick is so fragile, which you can even break apart with your fingertips and its powder is tan brown in color and has 0% Sulphur Dioxide.

For the folks who are taking cinnamon on daily basis for cereals, oatmeal etc. are recommended to use Real Ceylon Cinnamon because of the ultra-low coumarin level compared to the high coumarin presents in Cassia Cinnamon found in supermarkets. Ceylon Cinnamon is a natural medicine for the folks who have diabetics and those challenged by obesity and high cholesterol issues.

Real Ceylon Cinnamon powder is also used in bakery industry because of the unique aroma and soft taste. One of the unique bakery product is Cinnamon roll from Denmark.
