We would like to introduce our Coating for Scum Riser Prevention.

 

Scum Riser Causes and Problems 
    
Scum Riser causes are:  
1) Adsorption by vaccume  
2) Adsorption to cutter  
3) Adsorption by oil film  
4) Magnetic force   
5) Push-up by compressed air  
    
For these causes, there are some countermeasure that punch processing, equip air-holes (air blow), adding ejector pins, adjusting entry amount of punching, and modify punches to all taper. However, we can not ignore costs and time of punches and dies replacement, design modification, or equipment procurement. 

 

Scum Riser measures by Coating process 
    
Attached Figs. are illustrated of Depo Series Coating process. Punch's side and bottom face are coated by WC to grant wear resistance and seizure resistance, and may prevent punching material plate lifting during the punch removing and adsorption. Specially, it is very effective against sticky materials like SUS or Al etc.. (referring to attached Fig 1 and 2)
