 The fiber optic microphone is a fiber-optic sound acquisition system which comprises of a fiber-optic sound sensor. Its characteristics are high sensitivity and strong anti-electromagnetic interference. It can be used in harsh environment which is full of electromagnetic interference. The size of fiber optic microphone is small; it is convenient to be installed and carried. It can be used to monitor sound and operating condition of transformer, detect gas leakage and analyze noise and so on. It also can be worked in the areas of explosion or radio frequency radiation.
The audio signal is transmitted by an optical fiber, the loss of optical fiber is less   than the loss of cable, so it is available in a long distance transmission;
