With good designability, FRP storage tanks areeasy to shape and convenient to maintain. Compared with steel, FRP (short for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics) itself is high corrosionresistant, with much lower relative density of 1.5 to 1.9 (7.8 forsteel) and a mechanical intensity as good as that of ordinary carbon steel. Thanks to its small thermal expansion coefficient, and good heat insulation per-formance, FRP has got widely used in various industries in China.
By medium form, FRP tanks can be divided into three categories, namely, liquid, gas and solid ones.
By working pressure, there are atmospheric tanks and pressure tanks. By the tank shape, there are circular horizontal, circular vertical and rectangular tanks. In addition, there are PVC/FRP, PP/FRP and PVDF/FRP composite FRP storage tanks.
