Product Description

Borwn fused alumina is electrically fused from bauxite in electric arc furnace at temperatures around ***0°C. Because of its high hardness (Mohs hardness 9), excellent toughness and high degree of thermal shock resistance, Brown fused alumina is widely used as raw material for grinding wheels, sand paper, blasting media, lapping & polishing , refractory products and many other applications.

Suntek Material offers a wide variety of brown fused alumina, with size ranging from group sizes, macrogrits and microgrits in accordance with FEPA, JIS, ANSI standards or according to customers specific request.

White fused aluminum oxide is electrically fused in arc furnace with high grade bayer processed alumina as raw material. It has higher hardness and slight lower toughness comparing with brown fused aluminum oxide. It is also characterized by its high purity, ability of self-shparpening, better cutting, less heat emit, higher efficiency, acid & alkali resistance and good thermal stability.

It is used in many applications including grinding and cut off wheels, refractories and ceramic shapes, coated abrasives, investment casting shells, laminates, coatings, blasting abrasives, lapping and polishing, and many other applications.

Fused Alumina Zirconia is an electro-fused alumina zirconia grain, produced by fusing alumina and zirconia raw materials in an electric arc furnace. The molten product is cooled down rapidly on special cooling aggregates so as to get a microcrystalline and homogeneous crystal structure.

Suntek Fused Alumina Zirconia enjoys extremely wear-resistant and anti-friable characters. It is mainly used to make resin bonded, foundry-type grinding wheels, heavy duty Coated abrasives, and for pressure blasting.

Because of its high toughness, Black Fused Alumina is mainly used for the polishing and finhsing of the surface of metal work piece, it is extremely suitable for polishing stainless steel and non-ferrous metals. It `s grinding efficiency is much higher than that of brown fused alumina and the finishing effect is much better than many of other abrasive materials.

It can also be used to make Coated abrasive products, polishing of optical glass and lumber, as well as making wearable and skid-proof ground for highway, airport runway and bridges.

Pink Fused Alumina is produced by adding chromium oxide to high purity aluminum oxide during the fusing process. The amount of chromium oxide added affects the color of the final product, as well as the toughness of the grain. With increased additions of chromium oxide, the toughness of the grain increases.

Suntek Materials Pink Fused Alumina is used in vitrified grinding wheels, coated abrasives, blasting abrasives and other applications.
