General introduction:

Geosynthetic clay liners (GCL) consist of clay material and geotextile.About the clay material, it is usually bentonite, which sandwiched between two layers geotextiles. This lining mechanism is mechanically bonded by needle punching from one nonwoven geotextile through the bentonite to the other nonwoven or woven geotextile. The bentonite swells andextrudes through the geotextile fabric at the overlap, forming a seal by producing a dense and uniform clay barrier with the same hydraulic qualities in all parts of the clay liner.

Properties:

Form high density diaphragm under hydraulic pressure, the water permeable capability equals to **0 times density degree of *0cm clay when the thickness of GCL is 3mm. It has very good self water-retention property.

GCL is nature inorganic material, it won't aging or corrode even after long time or surrounding changed, so it has permanent water proofing capability.

GCL is nature inorganic material, which is non-poisonous and harmless to human body, so it is environment protection material.
