RTV2 silicone rubbers are castable silicone elastomers that reticulate at room temperature by the addition of a suitable catalyst. Owing to their ease of use, combined with high chemical-mechanical properties, they are suitable for making flexible moulds and matrices that allow easy "delivery" (because of the particular anti-adherence features of the silicones), extreme faithfulness in the reproduction of details and low linear shrinkage.
