Provitamin A (β-carotene), which is also found in pumpkin seed oil, is an antioxidant that is involved in protein synthesis and slows down aging. Hair and skin health is dependent on vitamin A too.

Pumpkin oil contains vitamin E (tocopherol), which is called female vitamin because it can partially offset the side effects of oestrogen deficiency (female hormones). In addition, vitamin E improves heart and blood vessels functioning, it has influence on the proper functioning of the male and female genital systems and their reproductive function in particular.

Pumpkin oil components, vitamin B complex (B1, B2, B3, B4, B6, B9), are responsible for nervous and cardiovascular systems, muscles and digestive system. Thiamine (B1) converts fats and carbohydrates into energy, regulates digestive, nervous and cardiovascular systems. Riboflavin (B2) is indispensable for nails, hair, skin, eyesight and it actively participates in metabolism. Folic acid (B9) facilitates proper functioning of blood-making organs, prevents anaemia, promotes new skin cells formation, strengthens immune system.

A rare vitamin T, which is also a part of pumpkin oil, is actively involved in blood coagulation, platelet formation, accelerates body metabolism and promotes protein synthesis.

Besides vitamins, pumpkin seed oil is rich in minerals and trace elements zinc, magnesium, calcium, phosphorus, iron and selenium.
