◆ Introduction 

    KI66 series thermal protector  is widely used in plastic sealed motors , electric device 

for indusrial andhome appliance , it protects the machine from abnormal operation caused by

over current and overheat .The housing is made from heat resistance , heat conductive PBT

engineering plastics ,it is applicable for externally installed plastic sealed motor and household

appliance .

◆ Structure and  Protection Principle

    KI66 series thermal protector consists of heat conductive shell , insulating fixed base ,

bimetal welded with silver alloy contact , electric conductive holder , static contact piece , heat

resisting wire .

When electric current goes through bimetal with impedance , If in abnormal operation , when 

   the currentincrease or the ambient temperature increase to rated action temperature . the

bimetal quickly take action ,open the contact point , then circuit is off . When the equipment

temperature decrease to safe operatingtemperature , the contact close automatically , the

circuit is on and continue working .

Remark : KI66 / KI67 series adopt unified movement, the difference between KI66 / KI67 is only the

appearance and size .
