high performance heat insulation enabling low evaporation rates and
can be either vertical or horizontal.

PUR Insulated CO2 Storage
Tanks
These tanks are designed to operate efficiently even in the
environments of high heat and humidity to store liquefied carbon
dioxide and are available in vertical or horizontal arrangement
with a conventional PUR insulating material. The sealed cladding is
made from aluminium which protects the insulation against
mechanical damage and any moisture penetrating into the insulation.
The horizontal tanks are technically more practical to interfere
and vertical tanks are more convenient when there is a limited
space for installation at site. PUR Insulated CO2 Storage
Tanks are the most economical way to store CO2.
Karbonsan liquid CO2 tanks
are available in nominal capacities of 3 tons to **0 tons with
maximum allowable working pressure up to *4 bars. The PUR insulated
CO2 Stationary
Tanks offer minimal maintenance, efficient operation in heat and
humidity, manway for inspection and cleaning, evaporator coil
inside the vessel, safety valves, heaters, optional load-cell,
weighing systems and refrigeration unit, condensing the boil off
gas originated from heat accumulation. They can be supplied with
ambient type of vaporizers, pipelines and other components for a
cylinder filling station as well as for other bulk use purposes.
The tanks are equipped with the dual relief valves to prevent the
possibility of excess pressure risk. Although PUR insulated

Tanks are based on a standard design, they can be customized as per
specific application and requirements.
Vacuum Insulated CO2 Tanks
The cryogenic design of CO2 stationary
tanks combines safe, flexible and economical operation with their
high quality perlite vacuum insulation and they are available in
vertical or horizontal arrangement. Karbonsan cryogenic
CO2 stationary
tanks are supplied in complete with all pipe work; a *-way diverter
with dual relief valves, liquid level indicator, pressure gauge,
automatic pressure build up and pressure reducing systems allowing
fast and easy installation on site.
Special connections are included to Cryogenic CO2 stationary
tanks to allow easy installation of ancillary equipment such as
vaporizers, cylinder filling systems, transfer pumps and dry ice
machines. Vacuum insulated tanks include automatic pressure build
up and pressure reducing systems.
The tanks are insulated with a proved high quality vacuum-perlite
system with molecular sieve adsorber. Although cryogenic
CO2 Tanks
are based on a standard design, they can be customized as per
specific application and requirements. The bulk tanks are designed
according to EC Directive PED *7/*3/EC, using the standards AD ***0
or EN ****8. Section VII, Division 1 of the ASME Code and other
national pressure vessel codes are also provided as
required.

The CO2 tank
containers have been designed as standard *0ft ISO containers for
the safe storage and transport of CO2.
The CO2 tank
containers also feature high quality vacuum multi-laminar
super-insulation, stacking capability, 9 units height, integral
pressure building system, document holder, various pipe work and
valve options to offer maximum versatility to end user and
operator. These units can also be used as storage equipment with a
long pressure hold time from *7 bars to *4 bars for more than *0
days at an ambient temperature. The inner vessels and pipeworks are
made of stainless steel and cleaned for oxygen uses which allows to
multipurpose transportation of CO2,
N2,
O2 and
Ar. This tank can also be configured to accept cryogenic transfer
pumps.

PUR Insulated Semi Trailer
for Carbon dioxide
As the characteristics of carbon dioxide are different than
cryogenics, the design temperature for carbon dioxide semi-trailers
and rigid tankers is **0°C / **0°C. The working pressure is
designed to be between *0 - *4 bars depending on the customer
request. This interval allows the PUR insulation to be used
effectively for the carbon dioxide mobile units, as well. The
special insulation applied provides least possible evaporation rate
under extreme temperatures of different
countries.
It is possible to use PUR insulated CO2 semi-trailers
without facing any disadvantages as long as the shipment has not
been exposed to direct sun shine at extreme outside temperatures
for long periods such as waiting at customs or haulage longer than
a week. It is advisable to prefer investing in cryogenic
semi-trailers if such extreme cases are commonly faced during the
CO2 transportation
to the customers. The shorter loading and unloading times,
user-ergonomics, proved design and durable accessories provide
exceptional advantages for Karbonsan
semi-trailers.
The mobile units are mostly equipped with cooling unit, dual relief
valves and a transfer pump. While rigid tankers provide cost

Cryogenic Semi Trailer for
Carbon dioxide
Cryogenic semi-trailers provide logistics efficiency when the
semi-trailer travels very long distances or waits longer periods at
customs being exposed to direct sun shine, while crossing the
borders. Also, cryogenic semi-trailers are preferred when customers
need the inner vessel to be stainless steel.
Upon delivery, we send the relevant product files to our customers.
The product files include all material and test certificates that
the standards have required and have been approved by third party
certification bodies. The CO2 semi-trailers
