Easy to care for, your luffa will last months and months.  You may wash and disinfect your luffa on the top rack of your dishwasher.  Just take it out before the heated dry cycle and hang it to air dry.  Or, toss it in the washing machine with a load of towels.  Just don't put it in the dryer, let it air dry.  No problem if you accidently dry it; just wet it and continue to use it.  It may shrink a little but it will be fine.
