Monel**0 is an amount of the largest and most versatile, excellent overall performance of corrosion resistant alloys.
This alloy has excellent corrosion resistance in hydrofluoric acid and fluorine gas medium, hot concentrated alkali is also excellent in corrosion resistance. Also resistant to neutral solution, water, sea water, air, organic compounds corrosion.
An important feature of the alloy is generally not produce stress corrosion cracking, good cutting performance.
Its chemical composition is mainly composed of *0% Cu and *5% Ni plus a small amount of Fe (1% *2%) of the composition. Due to differences in the chemical composition on it can have a variety of alloy grades, but the corrosion resistance and no significant difference between them. Monel**0 alloys more resistant to corrosion than reducing media pure nickel, and copper is more resistant to oxidation than the media corrosion.
