Aluminum expansion joint cover system for installation in joints between parallel wall or ceiling sections, the system consisting of aluminum extrusions, aluminum or stainless steel sheet or plate, elastomeric cushions, and spring steel centering bars with elastomeric spheres. The joint cover system is mechanically fastened to the wall or ceiling and is surface mounted

MAINTENANCE

Establish an inspection schedule for the expansion joint covers. Clean damp contaminants away by wiping with a clean cloth. Clean aluminum cover plates using clean cloths, warm water and a gentle detergent (detergents for use with aluminum pots and pans are acceptable). To remove tough stains, a solvent or emulsion cleaner may be needed. These cleaners must be spot tested prior to use.
