1. Description: Potassium Sorbate, is used for food, cosmetic, medical health product and anti-mortify for tobacco. As unsaturated acid, it also used in resin, aromatics and rubber industry. Potassium sorbate is the potassium salt of sorbic acid. Its primary use is as a food preservative. Potassium sorbate is effective in a variety of applications including food, and personal care. 2. Properties: Potassium Sorbate, is produced by neutralizing potassium hydroxide with sorbic acid, an unsaturated carboxylic acid that occurs naturally in some berries. The colourless salt is very soluble in water (*8.2% at *0 °C). 3.
