~Among the highest density element and melting point, rhenium plate does not have a ductile to brittle transition temperature and does not form carbides. High resistivity, combined with low vapor pressure, rhenium sheet is an ideal material for filament applications. Rhenium sheet is excellent in resistance to corrosion, resists acid attack and the mechanical effects of electrical erosion. Rhenium sheet has a beneficial effect as an alloying addition with other refractory metals as it greatly enhances the ductility and tensile strength of these alloys.

Rhenium plate is used to make high temperature heating parts need to work under particular conditions, e.g. semiconductor industry. Compared with other materials, pure rhenium heaters have the outstanding properties of better electric performance. Rhenium sputtering target can be used to make rhenium thin film to be applied to high technology field.
