domestic market for table potatoes is already saturated, with production outstripping demand. Growth in the 
potato sector in Bangladesh thus relies on being able to produce varieties suitable for processing and export. 
 
Bangladesh has been shipping potato to *3 countries, mainly in the Middle East and South East Asia, but 
Russia and Taiwan are the newest additions to its market.
