Product Description

 This product is an inactive material, made up of iron oxides and silicon dioxide at a content of about *5%**0% each the rest being oxides of calcium, magnesium and aluminum.

 

Additionally, it is a friable material with grains of dimensions 1,5mm and roughly similar with the excavated ones, from ores around the region.

 

Above characteristics make this material an ideal source for abrasive grit and abrasive blast cleaning manufacture as well as a proper raw material for cement and construction industry.

 

Grit material is a by-product produced during reductive smelting of laterites in electric furnaces reaches a temperature of ***0 ***0C for the production of ferronickel. The material flows out of the furnaces and is led over a jet of sea water under pressure turning to fine granules through instantaneous cooling.

 

Today production amounts to 5,**0 metric tons daily, about 2,**0,**0 metric tons per year, through a soft production which has the possibility of improving its increase yearly at a significant degree.
