The most effective method of determination of identification characteristics – measuring spectra in the interests of criminalistic researches and expertise – is stipulated in regulations, which include sampling, concentrating, preparation of a sample for analysis as obligatory works. These works are executed, if a test subject is detected. If a test subject has micron size, as a rule, spectra are not measured. Significant characteristics are not detected, efficiency of expert work declines. To solve these problems spectrometers are necessary. They allow to measure spectra “outside” and in laboratories; to guarantee the search of microscopic objects (more than 4 mic), measure spectra of detected objects without sampling, sample preparation, concentrating.
