The SX5 saw, together with Scandinvents own software, ScandSOFT™, means you can cut almost any shape automatically, in one program. Among other benefits ScandSOFT™ allows the actual slabs being used to be photographed and imported into the CAD program. Why is this useful? Because now the proposed cut-outs can be virtually arranged in the program, on top of the photo of the actual slab you’ll be working on. It’s just like manually laying out a template on the slab of a manual saw operation. This is useful because you’re now able to print the image for final customer approval. So, you and the customer can check inherent patterns, fissures, anomalies or defects in the stone before you cut it. Once programmed SX5 can be left to work. No operator is required to monitor speed during single or multiple cuts, as the speed is regulated based on motor current. The full shape you’ve programmed will be cut without the need for adjustments. This saw also has a smaller foot print for companies with limited space available.
