gas pipeline joint wrapping tape with butyl rubber adhesive tape  is with a stabilized

polyethylene carrier film,coated on one sides with a permanently plastic synthetic

compound on a butyl rubber base.

The highly stable and supple carrier film guarantees a high degree

of protection from mechanical damage.

Structure: 

gas pipeline joint wrapping tape with butyl rubber adhesive tape consists of two layers:

 adhensive layer and film backing

 A:adhensive layer: butyl rubber

 B:film backing: special  blend of stabilized polyethylene
 

The inner wrap tape shall be two ply plastic tape consisting

of stabilized polyethylene (PE) base of outer layer (backing)

with a layer of butyl rubber (adhesive) applied on one side.

 The thickness of plastic base shall not be less than 13mils.

Thickness of butyl rubber shall not be less than 12 mils.

The total thickness of the tape shall not be less than 25 mils.

 The inner wrap tape must be compatible with the properties

of the primer and the properties of outer wrap tape.

 PE backing colour shall be black.
