Product Description
Load switch is an
electric switch between circuit breaker and isolating switch. High
voltage load switch has simple arc extinguish device being
able to connect or break load current and over load current. But it
is not capable of breaking short circuit current. Therefore a
high
voltage load switch is usually combined with a fuse in
series, and by the help of fuse short circuit current can be
broken. As compared with high voltage circuit breaker and isolating
switch, a main advantage of high voltage load switch is relatively
cheap in price.
The high voltage load
switch is classified as air, compressed air, oil, SF6 and vacuum on
method of arc extinguish. In addition, the high voltage switch is
also classified as indoor one and outdoor one on application
environment.
