FAQ: Why do we need to install OBD for CNG/LPG cars??

Answer:  Installing OBD for more convenient use

A: Faulty codes occur while burning gas due to the different air-fuel combustion ratio 

between CNG and LPG,and OBD helps to clear these faulty codes.The OBD system is

monitoring cars to prevent tail gas from exceeding.Once exceeds, it will warn.

The light will turn off automatically. 

B: With the fault lights on, the original petrol burning system will still work, 

which causes fuel waste. OBD helps to shut down petrol injection to save fuel.

C: Fault light bothers while driving

Causes for the fault light turning on while burning CNG:

   Because of the different features between oil and gas, including the exhaust gas as well as the 

discrepant combustion ratio with air (Petrol vs air: 1: 14.7, gas vs air: 1:17.1), in this case, 

when fuel swiches to gas the original system will judge it too thin for the air-fuel ratio,  

which leads to the fault lights turning on.

FYI:The OBD can only eliminate faulty codes caused by burning gas,

       if there is something else wrong with the car, the light will still turn on.
