Description
The type slurry PN pump is a single stage, single suction, horizontal, with a cantilevered construction, centrifugal, slurry pump. It is designed for delivering liquid solid two phase fluid mixtures with maximum concentration of 50 - 60% by weight in mines.

The wetted parts of the slurry pump are made of wear resistant alloys and have a longer service life. The impellers of 6″and more than 6″slurry pumps are connected with shafts in threads and those of 8″and more than 8″slurry pumps are connected with shafts in keys. The clearance between the impeller and the bush and the clearance between the impeller and the wearing plate may be adjusted to obtain a high efficiency.8″and more than 8″slurry pumps have larger pump casings that are in horizontal split construction type, so that assembling, dismantling, check and maintenance are with ease.

The shaft seal adopted is a common packing seal into which clean water with a pressure higher than working pressure by 1 kgf/cm²should be introduced.

Viewed from the drive, the PN slurry pump rotates in an anticlockwise direction (But 1PN, 2PN and 3PN pumps among others rotate in a clockwise direction), when the impeller is connected with the shaft in threads, if the pump rotates in an inverse direction, the impeller will be loosened and fall off the shaft causing a serious trouble.
