MIM is economically attractive to manufacturers_especially against parts that require machining. Machined parts require a considerable amount of labor and a lot of material is lost during the process. When parts are molded in mass quantities, MIM process can offer substantial savings. The more complex the part, the more cost reduction MIM can realize. Furthermore, MIM could be your only choice for some precision parts that are too small to be machinable, because MIM is not afraid of miniature.
