2-pyrrolidone(2-P)
Properties：2-pyrrolidone which is also called 2-pyrrolidone, is written “2-P” for short. The molecular formula is C4H7NO.2-P is a colorless liquid. Its solidifying poine25.6℃, flash point 129.4℃, boiling point 245℃, which is solubilize with water, low chain alcohol, low chain ether, chloroform and benzene.

Usage：2-pyrrolidone is a colorless high boiling point polar solvent and is also an organic synthetic intermediate product. As to this kind of solvents we can use it to produce synthetic resin, pesticide, polyvalent alcohol, printing inks and iodine, and as the raw materials of production of polyvinyl pyrrolidone, poiyamide-4 fiber and piracetam, etc.

N-methyl-pyrrolidone(NMP)
Properties：N-methyl-pyrrolidone that is also called N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone is written “NMP” for short. The molecular formula is C5H9NO.N-methyl-pyrrolidone, which is a liquid with little ammonia odor, can mix with almost all solvents such as ethyl alcohol, acetaldehyde, ketone, aromatic hydrocarbons and chlorohydro carbons etc. Its boiling point 204℃ and flash point 95℃.

Usage：NMP which is a polar non proton transfer solvent possesses little toxicity, high boiling point, powerful solvency, good selectivity and stability properties. The product is widely applied to aromatic hydrocarbons extracting, acetylene, and diolefine purification. It can be also used as polymer solvents and polymerization process medium, such as polyamides, polyimides and polyphenyl thioether(PPS), etc. which are called engineering plastics. Besides these, it can be used as aromatic fibre, insulate pesticide, pigment and detergent, etc.

Polyvinylpyrrolidone(〔C6H9NO〕n)

Properties：Polyvinylpyrrolidone is written"PVP"for short,the molecular formula is 〔C6H9NO〕n Polyvinylpyrrolidone exists as powder or aqueous solution. It can be dissolved in water and varieties of organic solvent and is hygrosopic ability, film-forming capability,complexing ability and physiology compatibility are good.hygroscopic ability, film-forming capability,complexing ability and physiology compatibility are good.

Usage： In field of cosmetc:PVP series can be used as filming-agent,viscosity-enhancement agent,lubricator and adhesive.They are the key component of hair sprays ,mousse,gels and lotions, hair-dring reagent and shampoo in hair-care products and the key component of lip-stick,sunscreem and lotions in skin-care products and also that of eye makeup,deodorant and dentifrice,etc. In field of pharmaceutical:PVP-K30 is a new and excellent pharmaceutical excipient.It is mainly used as binder for tablet,dissolving assistant for injection,flow assistant for capsule,dispersant for liquid,medicine and stain,stabilizer for enzyme and heat sensitive drug,coprecipitant for poorly soluble drugs,lubricator and antitoxical assistant for eye drug. In field of other vtilities:Paint and coating,plastics and resin adhesive,glass fiber,film,ink,TV tube,detergent,biocide,tabulating assistant,textile dyeing and printing,etc.
