Description
Cellular glass is made from glass powder added with additional agents after heating, baking and annealing through a tunnel furnace, and then cutting. It is a kind of high-level heat preservation and heat insulation material, with light weight, little thermal conductivity, none moisture absorption, not burning, not moldy. So it can provide the following benefits: Constant insulating efficiency; Zero water vapor permeability; Moisture resistance; Fire protection; Corrosion resistance; Long-term dimension stability; Vermin resistance; CFC and HCFC free.
It can be easily cut but with high mechanical strength. It also can resist acid corrosion (except HF). The material is nonpoisonous and its chemical properties are very stable. So it is not only a kind of heat insulation material but also a kind of cold insulation material. It won't deteriorate through a very long period of time (at least 50years). And the material itself can prevent fire and has shockproof. It is widely used in oil, petrochemical industry, underground project, shipbuilding, defense industry, being called "a kind of unnecessary renewal and eternal heat preservation material." Cellular glass can be used as insulation material on outer wall and tapered and flat roof of civil architectures because of its good properties favorable to environment protection, energy saving and such application is already nationwide and very common in US and Japan. So cellular glass is ideal for the following: Low temperature pipe, equipment, tanks and vessels; hydrocarbon processing system; freezer and cooler buildings; and tapered and flat roofs; exterior and interior walls; chemical and pharmacy processing industry.
