Description
Batik painting is the traditional folk art which has a long history can be dated to Qin and Han Dynasties but popularized in a few minority areas in southwest areas of China. Usually, local native artists paint the pictures on the batik fabrics, cotton, silk, poplin or others with the patterns covered by beeswax ,The tool of drawing wax patterns isn't a brush but a self-mastery steel knife that is two slices or several same thin coppers which can be easily heated. According to the patterns several kinds of copper knives are necessary, for example hemicycle, triangle, ax form, etc. These pictures, not confining itself to exact details of natural images, are boldly different and exaggeratedly drawn, Where you can enjoy the Chinese minorities' custom and culture without taking a journey to the real place. .
