Description
Huangshan brand natural menthol crystals, is one of the competitive products of Huangshan Tianmu Menthol Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is refined from pure natural menthol, and it was evaluated as a Fine Quality product by Anhui Province in 1984.
1. Specifications:
Color and Appearance: Colorless, transparent hexagonal or needlelike crystals.
Odor: Having Characteristic odor of natural menthol obtained from mentha avensis oil.
Melting point: 42-44℃
Non-volatile matter: 0.05 % maximum
Solubility: 1g soluble in 5ml of 90% (v/v)alcohol, forming a clear solution.
Specific rotation: -49-50o(20℃)
Purity: ≥99%
Thymol test: Negative
Litmus paper test: Neutral
As content: ≤3ppm
Heavy metal content(calculated as Pb ): ≤10ppm
2. Uses: It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, cigarettes, tooth-pastes and cosmetics.
3. Storage: Store in closed containers. Keep in a cool and dry place below 33℃,avoid sunshine & rain.
4. Package: 25kg/barrel, paper barrel 40cm(diagram)×50cm(high).
Gross weight: 28kg/barrel.
5. Quality Guarantee Term: 5years (under the conditions of fulfilling the requirements of storage and transport, and that the packing is complete and sealed).
6. Accord with the Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2005 edition, the USP-24, the BP-2000 and the FCC edition.
