PRODUCT DATA SHEET

ANETHOLE Specifications :
1. Appearance : Colourless refractive liquid
2. Sp. Gravity 25°/25°C : 0.98 to 0.99
3. Refractive Index : 1.557 to 1.561
4. Boiling Range : 234o to 236°
5. Cis-Anethole : around 0.1%
6. Trans Anethole : 99.5% min.
7. Odour : Sweet odour & taste characterstic of
Anise Seed. (Saunf).
8. Solubility : Miscible with alcohol; poorly soluble in
propylene glycol and glycerine.
9. Congealing Poing : Around 21°C
10. Melting Point : Fully congealed mass melts completely
at around 24°C.


Process features :

ANETHOLE - 21 : This grade of Anethole is a reasonably pure material, manufactured under rigid quality control and established operating perameters. The product contains around 99.7% of total Anethole. It is a product ex Essential Oils of vegatative origin and possesses a pleasant Anise like odour and taste. Cis-Anethole Contents, the objectionable impurity is controlled to around 0.1%, so as to keep well below the internationally accepted parameters of max. 0.2%
