Description
Pearlescent pigments have the luster as an additional property in comparison with other pigments. Their characteristic properties of a surface structure, high refractory index and transparency create in a transparent medium and equal to the luster of pearls. Pearl pigments consist of a nucleus of mica, which is surrounded by several metal oxide layers. Different gloss will be obtained by changing the oxides. Pearlescent pigment is free of toxin, low in specific gravity, durable at high temperature and under direct sunlight, resistant to acid and alkaline, and fadeless .They can be applied in the fields of plastic, paints, coating, printing ink, cosmetic etc.
