Description: Colorless liquid with pungent odor, miscible with water and alcohol solvents.

e) Fe: 1mg/kg

Applications:
1) A solvent for polyamides and cellulose acetate

5) Intermediate used in industrial cleaning, paint stripping and pH control

Storage and handling:
Formic acid has an almost unlimited shelf-life in unopened, original containers if protected from heat and stored in a protected storage area. It is neither explosive nor spontaneously flammable. However it is flammable and corrosive.
