DEFINITION
Potassium Diformate is the first non-antibiotic feed additive approved by the European Union replacing growth promoters
containing antibiotics. It can enhance alimentary canal environment and has obviously good effect on animal growth promotion without drug tolerance and leftover.
Jointly with Feed Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Challenge Group developed Potassium
Diformate ( Brand name is FUER ), and also becomes the first one who gets permission from the Agricultural Ministry of China to produce potassium diformate, with the patent of Potassium Diformate Compounding.
FUER is produced according to different requirements in animal ages, and is pure potassium diformate and little retarding agent and free flowing agent.

ACTION MECHANISM
The reason why potassium diformate have the function of growth promotion like antibiotics, in fact, is that it takes advantage of killing pathogenetic bacteria in gastrointestinal tract. Potassium diformate passes through acidic stomach, and reaches neutral and slight alkaline intestine, and then is automatically decomposed into formic acid and formate. They can show their performance of disinfection and keep animal body (especially baby animal) in the bacteria-free state, consequently plays an outstanding role in animal growth promotion.
85% potassium diformate passes through animal stomach in the original form and performs an action in duodenum.
After intake of potassium diformate, there will be an apparent reduction of pH value of gastrointestinal canal.
Formic acid and formate, decomposed by potassium diformate, decrease the number of pathogenic bacteria, in particular Escherichia coli and salmonellosis, improve animal immunity, prohibit piglets from diarrhea. |
