The Garra Rufa Species of fish (also known as kangal fish, nibble fish or simply doctor fish) occur in the river basins of the Northern and Central Middle East, mainly Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

The fish consumes dead area of the skin, leaving healthy skin to grow.

Scientifically known as Ichthyotherapy, this treatment was originally discovered over a century ago in Turkey as an alternative treatment for skin conditions like psoriasis, eczema and dermatitis.
