The Jianghan Petroleum Administration (JHPA) is located in the beautiful and rich Jianghan Plain, with the headquarter in the national star city -- Qianjiang city , Hubei Province. It is geographically advantageous and convenient in traffic, just 150 km west of Wuhan City, the thoroughfare leading to nine provinces, and 60 km east of the history/culture-famous Jingzhou City. By the end of 2006, SIPC has employees of 32700, with gross fixed assets of 12.5 billion Yuan, and accumulative productions of 44.66 million tons for oil and 18.6 billion cubic meters for natural gas, respectively. Through over 40-year development and construction, JHPA has become an important base in south China for petroleum exploration and development, petroleum-related engineering and technical services and petroleum machinery manufacture. It has also quite large scale and sound capability in salt-and-brine chemical industry, scientific research and design, auxiliary production and community service.
